EMG 1927 gramophone with Wilson Panharmonic straight horn, E.M.G soundbox, mounted in an HMV Junior Grand oak cabinet

Lot 160, this mighty gramophone, commences a significant collection of phonographs and gramophone ephemera. Complete with soundbox and tonearm and including a Garrard super motor.

Clarke's splendid illustrations are reminiscent of Art Nouveau, and his illustrious career as a stained glass artist is apparent by the vibrancy and definition of the illustrations accompanying Hans Christian Andersen's classic stories. This is one of numerous turn of the twentieth century illustrated books on offer in this auction, with other works by Edmund Dulac, W. Heath Robinson, Edward Detmold and Gwynedd Hudson also going under the hammer.


WWI uniform jacket to an officer in the Royal Sussex Regiment

This belonged to 2nd Lieut. C. E. Line and was produced in Dewbury & Son of Newgate Street, London. As though unused, the officer whom it was produced for was in the Royal Sussex Regiment.

Produced by W. Mills of 120 Holburn, London (1822-1843), this is one of numerous lots of both antique, reproduction and modern deactivated rifles on offer amongst our militaria. 

A late 19th century Harpe-Piccolo cylindrical music box

Est. £1500-2000

Produced c1885, this music box with an inlaid lid, although beautiful by appearance, its delight is in its song. Also on offer are numerous jazz records and books on jazz reference. 
Romanov Dynasty, Russia 300th Anniversary (Ukraine)

One of nearly seventy lots of coins and stamps in our collector's sale. You can imagine that the late Queen Elizabeth II's portrait must appear thousands and thousands, if not tens of thousands, of times in this vast amount of lots. 
Czech postcard sent to Dachau concentration camp dated 1944

Est. £80-120

Addressed to Karel Horais by his mother, this postcard was delivered to Dachau block 20/III. Horais was a Nazi resister from Brno, caught by the Gestapo in 1941. He was sent to Dachau, where he maintained his work as an electrician, and survived his time there, living until 1968.
